He was the president of Autodesk Retail Products after an IT career. He is a cofounder and director of Swan Island Networks, a cloud-based situational awareness intelligence platform. Pete has written three other technical books and has a blockbuster fiction book that he can’t finish. He’s an avid fly fisherman, ardent futurist, occasional marathoner and a bad, bad golfer. As co-founder and CTO of Perdata.ai he leads the development of Conexus, a platform used to create real, in-person connections at conferences, workplaces and communities. His work addresses the loneliness epidemic by replacing passive attendance with structured, human connection.

Johan now lives in the Pacific Northwest with his best friend and life partner, Sheila. He runs and hikes long distances to think clearly and stay grounded.
